CBD OIL - Yes or No?
What is CBD Oil?
CBD is shortened for cannabidiol, which is one of the naturally occurring cannabinoids found in the cannabis sativa plant. CBD may be obtained from both hemp and marijuana plants as they are both variations of the cannabis sativa plant. Their difference emerges when one considers the THC content. THC, another naturally occurring cannabinoid, is credited for the ‘high’ feeling which cannabis users speak of.
However, CBD is a non-psychoactive compound and is most notable for its healing effects. CBD oil is derived mainly from hemp varieties of the plant, although it is exactly the same in the marijuana variety. Thus it is manufactured also as tinctures, capsules, sprays, edibles, powder forms, topicals, and concentrates.
The research is proving that the CBD cannabinoid can be used to treat and remedy numerous illness which at one point were considered untreatable. Such illnesses include but are not by any means limited to, anxiety, diabetes, depression, heart disease, IBS, epilepsy, acne, multiple sclerosis, and inflammation.
