You might be wondering, "what exactly is a grain bowl?" and that is a great question! To be honest, you have probably made a grain bowl, or two, over time. They are simply a grain such as brown rice, quinoa, farro, jasmine rice, millet, barley, etc. tossed into a bowl with other veggies and finished off with dressing. They are simple, affordable, and absolutely delicious!
The flavor combinations are endless! Take the three that we went with today: Thai Crunch Quinoa, Chipotle Brown Rice, Moroccan Farro. All three packed a chewy texture from the grains, a fiber punch from the veggies, and tons of flavor from the homemade dressings. Yes, that's right! We went with homemade dressings to make them even more affordable and keep the ingredients wholesome. But, if you're looking for a time-saver, then feel free to grab your favorite dressing at the store.
Of course, a grain bowl isn't really a grain bowl unless it's.....served in a bowl. 😉 That's why we were so excited to see GoodCook launch their new salad meal prep containers that are bowl-shaped!
