Tips for Perfect Sweet and Spiced Nuts
- Choose Your Nuts Wisely: Raw, unsalted nuts work best for this recipe. Customize with your favorites, or stick to a classic mix of almonds, pecans, cashews, and walnuts.
- Don’t Skip the Egg White: The egg white helps the sugar mixture stick to the nuts and gives them that irresistible crunchy coating.
- Watch the Oven: Nuts can burn quickly, so keep an eye on them during the second bake.
How to Store
I will usually just store these in an airtight container, or vacuum sealed bag, at room temperature for up to 2 weeks. I don't think you'll have these around too long, but if you do want to batch prep these then you can freeze them in a sealed bag or container for up to 3 months. Just be sure to thaw them before serving.

Absolutely! Replace the egg white with a flaxseed egg or aquafaba for a plant-based version.
3. Can I add other spices?
Of course! Try adding nutmeg, ginger, or a pinch of cayenne for an extra flavor twist.
